Nashville native, Ronnie Yates Jr. has had a life long love for design and in 2004, decided to obtain a Bachelors in Engineering at Cumberland University, TN.

However, Ronnie’s first love was the drums; a gift passed down from his father. Ronnie has been fortunate enough to tour the world playing the drums, and still continues to do so around town and at his home church where he has been playing for over 15 years.

Ronnie unintentionally re-ignited his love for engineering and design when he decided to put in a pool and build a deck on his own home. Posting his progress and joy for the project on social media, it wasn’t long until his friends and family began to employee him for their home projects.

Ronnie saw a future for himself doing something he loved, he decided he wanted to become a General Contractor, and Music City Home Experience was born.

In early 2020 Sumer Anelli joined his team with a background in business management and Interior Design. Her goal was to help Ronnie build his company and take it to the next level.

After working with one another for over a year, they realized they had an amazing partnership and their friendship also progressed. Ronnie made Sumer a equal partner in the company in July of 2021, and months after asked for her hand in marriage.

In November of 2022 they were married, making Music City Home Experience a small, family owned, minority owned business.

The Yates and their team have impeccable attention to detail. They pride themselves on their quality of their work, reliability and professionalism. Ronnie and Sumer understands how difficult it can be to undergo a home renovation, add on, or even a new build; So together with their team, they will make sure the job is done right, communication is open, and that you are happy with the experience from start to finish.
